About us

Dungeon Mister is a fan-made D&D website created by a small team of experienced players and dungeon masters.

We see a lot of questions from new and experienced players about all aspects of D&D from the basic fundamental rules, to more advanced ideas around optimising characters and creating great campaigns. Between our own knowledge and thorough research, we seek to answer these questions for you whether you’re brand new to the hobby or have a wealth of experience.

We love D&D and play it about as often as we can and want to share the joy of playing with others. That’s why we created this website. We use our experience as dungeon masters to provide tips and advice to other DMs too, knowing the challenges that come with being a new (and even an experienced) DM.

For us, D&D is a passion. We love barely surviving encounters with BBEGs, sneaking our way through enemy lairs, smooth talking our way past guards and everything else you do in D&D.

We love the bits outside the game too, from preparing cunning traps for our players, to painting minis and creating epic scenes for incredible immersion. We hope our passion can give you even more enjoyment from the game.

if you do want to get in touch, just email us at ben@dungeonmister.com. Feel free to ask us questions, tell us about your latest campaign or just make a suggestion, we’d love to hear from you.

Ben Lawrance – Writer and creator

Ben is the Elder Brain of the Dungeon Mister operation, commanding his minions of the hive mind to create excellent D&D content to brainwa… I mean delight the masses. He has a brain too large for conventional jars (though apparently this isn’t that impressive), but does put his vast intellect into creating helpful advice for players and homebrewing epic campaigns for his table.

Chris Coultas – Writer and contributor

Resident contributor and Dungeon Mister minion, Chris is an experienced player and dungeon master with a huge knowledge of lore and a masterful approach to characterisation.

Chris has been adventuring from a young age and wrote up his first character sheet at the age of 10, for D&D 3.5e. He continued to play through his teen years, even going through a rebellious phase, dabbling in the Marvel SAGA system and the Dragonball Z RPG. Chris has since returned to the realms of D&D, sending his players on fantastical adventures with his mastery of personas and accents!
